Today we´re going to work with «years» and two «adverbs of time».

Hoy vamos a trabajar con los años y dos adverbios de tiempo.

We´re are going to review how the years are said and written.

Vamos a repasar como se dicen y se escriben los años.

For example:

2005 – two thousand and five

2006 – two thousand and six

2007 – two thousand and seven

BUT —————————————————

1850 – 18/50 – eighteen fifty

1995 – 19/95 – nineteen ninety-five

2010 – two thousand and ten   or   twenty ten

2015 – two thousand and fifteen   or   twenty fifteen

Regarding the adverbs of time we´re are going to learn the use of «ago» and «last».

Con respecto a los adeverbios de tiempo, vamos a aprender el uso de «ago» (hace) y «last» (pasado / último).

AGO examples:

-That was two years ago. (Eso fue hace dos años)

-That was two monts ago. (Eso fue hace dos meses)

-That was two weeks ago. (Eso fue hace dos semanas)

LAST examples:

-She was in Englans last year. (Estuvo en Inglaterra el años pasado)

-She was in Englans last month. (Estuvo en Inglaterra el mes pasado)

-She was in Englans last week. (Estuvo en Inglaterra la semana pasada)

Escucha y encuentra la imagen a la que se refiere y repite en voz alta como en el ejemplo.

Mira estas imágenes y lee la información para contestar a las preguntas de abajo usando «ago». Fíjate en el ejemplo que he puesto.

Example:
